Musician turned digital DJ and producer. I hated DJs so, in 2006, started a brass band called West Philadephia Orchestra that plays acoustic dance music. But then I heard the Electric Gypsyland project and began collaborating with electronic musicians in Paraiba, Brazil. I began digging how the power and fizz of electronic drums and synths can enhance folk music. Now I'm folktronic, and more open-minded in general.
