Gilberto is a pianist, teacher, composer and arranger. Gilberto Peixoto Junior began playing the piano at the age of 8, learning music by ear and later studying at the conservatory in the region where he grew up in São Paulo, Brazil. At the age of 13, he performed solo and in groups at various venues in the city of São Paulo and in the countryside. At the age of 17, he began teaching classes, developing his first method for the keyboard in printed format with the addition of exercises recorded in audio. With a degree in music with a specialization in piano from UNESP, he participated in the Unespiano extension project, performing in the recital-class format at public schools in the countryside of the state of São Paulo. Currently, Gilberto has performed in solo piano recitals and with chamber music groups, dedicating himself to composition and arrangements and, of course, to teaching music and the piano.
