Raleigh, United States

While a student at Ohio State University, I published satires and poetry in University publications and in "motive". I spent two years’ internship at North American Review (nonfiction division; published at the University of Northern Iowa {Cedar Falls} since 1968) and as a book reviewer. Later contributor on subjects such as environmental and ecological matters, multiculturalism, and exigent issues of gender and class.

For a guy who is proud of his chrome-plated cognitive system, I have always had a liking for the bizarre and the improbable. Perhaps it’s a form of escapism; I like to write science fiction, and I have a sneaking fondness for poltergeists and parapsychology and UFOs. Lost continents exercise a special fascination for me. The subject is like the synaptic catalyzer in a science fiction short story by Damon Knight (author of “To Serve Man”), a device from another dimension that scrambles your brain and causes a delightful sensation.
