Plot Outline
Starfinder is an Odyssey class starship, top of the line same class as the new Enterprise-F, recently launched, her Captain is an A.I. synced from a large synthetic brain hooked into the ship's computer core. He interacts as a hologram.
She is sent to explore a mysterious region of space called "The Outback".
