...I was not exactly psyched for this year's Winter Olympic Games.

I don't have tons of interest in many of the events, the barrage of 20 minute profiles and b-roll montages often leaves me cold, and the lack of ability to watch most of the events in real time is often spoiled by the immediacy of our modern information technology.

In spite of all my initial reservations, I have been pulled into this a bit by the curling(!) rounds (ends), which have a level of strategy, geometry, and finesse that I never took the time to notice before!

Then, I have found a heightened interest in the hockey competitions, with the women's US team being a force of nature, thus far, and the men's tournament is like a ten day long all star game, with dozens on NHL players in a fierce combat to win honor for their respective home countries.

It has been quite captivating this week, and has even stolen away some of the time I would normally spend putting together the weekly show...
