Known by the alias Geek Boy, Al Swettenham is a Manchester based DJ/producer. He has worked with a diverse range of artists including godfather of nu-skool breaks Adam Freeland, LA based trip-rock band 8mm and UK rave veteran FeralisKinky. His fusion of retro 8-bit melodies and tropical electro have caught the ear of top DJs like Mistajam and Kissysellout. In October last year his track ‘Get On It’, a collaborative effort with Rebel Sonix, Keith MacKenzie and vocalist Whisky Pete, was named Mixmag’s tune of the month. Now a regular collaborator with Rebel Sonix and currently collaborating with Scold Recordings co-founder Kreecha on a multi genre E.P, Geek Boy’s services are very much in demand. He loves Batman comics, video games and beer.
