Gated Community is a collective improvising group formed by Mick Beck in 2005.
The band explores the boundaries between musical structures and free improvisation.

Membership ranges from 10 to 15 improvisers performing together on stage.
Brought together on Mick Beck's initiative, the group started off as a workshop band with key players of the Sheffield scene exploring modalities of performance for large improvising ensembles similar to London Improvisers orchestra.
