Personality
So we have been exploring the perception vs reality vein in the Travel Security portion of my company. We talked about how perception trumps reality, and how that relates to External Personal Factors (make sure you listen to the podcast that accompany the posts for further detail) Today we discuss our own personality. Our personality is what makes us us. Our personality is qualified by our speech patterns, our likes, our wants, how we prefer to dress, our methods of interacting with people etc. But there are other portions of our personality that can either increase or decrease risk when traveling. Our adherence to training, our ability to observe our environment, our propensity to either stay the course when challenged, or to quickly change to an alternate course of action, our distractions, or "tethers", etc. I often observe the people that I teach before they make it to my office, and when I discuss the personality portion of my course they ask if I'm telling them to
