Fred-D was born on January 4th, 1977 in Fort de France, Martinique (for those who don’t know, that’s where rum comes from !).

He was immersed in « tribal » and heavy beat atmospheres from his early childhood, so no surprise he turned to those kinds of music he could feel with his stomach.

Be it classical music, the most famous electronic music collections, dance music or the so-called « progressive » techno sound he came across thanks to friends — that unique sound which takes you to pure trance and absolute bliss —, all those sounded to him like a faraway call from his ancestors.

Hungry for more than mere listening, he started as a DJ in 1997. Being a heavy beat enthusiast, he always went for rhythm pervaded recordings and naturally joined the rhythmical techno music mouvement.

Since Techno music is or should be much more than a simple fashion trend, he exclusively plays those sounds which truly thrill him, whether « low tempo » or « high tempo » style.
