My friends, peers and 'fans' know me as FREDster. My actual name is, yes you guessed it, FRED! I've been DJing in my hometown of Houston, TX since 2004. I wouldn't consider myself a successful DJ but I love what I do and am content with where I am in my life right now. I first started with a DJ crew and weekly party called "Boys & Girls Club". We threw a very successful Wednesday night weekly from 2004-2009. As time went on and different incarnations of B&G came into being we finally dissolved and all went different ways. I've been DJing monthly residencies all around town as well as small events like art shows, salon openings to large scale festivals including Day For Night and several Free Press Summer Fests. I've opened for many bands and other world renowned DJs, including: Peter Hook (Joy Division, New Order), Ladytron, Interpol, MSTRKRFT, Chromeo, CSS, The Ting Tings and many more! When people ask what I play: I play party jams. I can read the dancefloor and play accordingly.
