Franz was born in a small rural beachside town called Negombo, Sri Lanka. In 1987, Franz and his family moved from a civil war torn Sri Lanka to a picture perfect Eden in sunny southern California. His passion for classical, trance and hip-hop genres has taken him on a creative journey in the digital realm where compositions and creation of sounds that cannot be physically created are found to be limitless.

Franz’s genre is an infusion of classical music which has a standard form, Electronica which also follows a standard form and Hip-Hop which has an open form. More recently however, Franz has been experimenting with sound synthesizers and plugins to achieve a robust “synth-work”. His music is melodic and with the infusion of melodies into his mixing canvas, he layers energetic tones and rhythms to give his music a fuller, more robust and atmospheric sound.
