a few weeks ago we acknowledged the passing of another great artist from our community, the canadian electroacoustic composer chantal dumas, who passed away in montreal on may 17th. we announced then that we’d be airing a full memorial edition for her in the coming weeks; that plan is hopefully still in the works for the not-too-distant future, but we wanted to get some of her sounds on the air a little more quickly, so this week we included a few early works that we were previously unfamiliar with, from her first solo release in 2000, and two compilation works from 2006 and 2008.
