Format change
Starting with Episode 25, I've decided to change gears and switch to a song-of-the-day format. That means each week I'll be posting shows of just 7 songs, with my own commentary, for something that most weeks should sum to under 30 minutes, perfect for a commute or a walk around the block. Two-hour shows digging deep into the catalogs of individual artists was fun and instructive, but also hugely time-consuming.
I will be emphasizing the new, with 5 or 6 songs likely to be recent Bandcamp purchases and the remainder old favorites from across my life. I have enough material to span multiple lifetimes!
This will not be airing on terrestrial radio. As much as I like the idea of low-power FM community radio, the truth is that sites like Mixcloud represent an improvement over that in so many ways.
Look for the first episode of the new format here starting somewhere around Thanksgiving.

Yary - these shows are taking 10+ hours to produce in some cases, and I just can't sustain it given the amount of new paid work I've picked up for 2022. It was fine back in the summer when I had little else going on.
Want to go a little bit longer with longer format? You started this journey with the idea of presenting "a deep dive into an individual band, compilation album or music scene" and in the half-year so far there hasn't been a "music scene" in-depth. I'm curious to hear what you'll do with that.
