Fly Hendrix is an ethnomusicologist. Her vinyl sets have contributed to the pulse of underground music culture across the globe. Fly emerged into the profession with a degree in Ethnomusicology from Occidental in LA which led her to South Africa. She is rooted in the music of the African Diaspora and owns a collection of 5,000+ records. Fly’s collection features both classic innovators, emerging artists and rarities from every genre. From decade to decade, genre to genre; Fly digs for records that not only move her, but have struck a chord in the community. Fly is a storyteller and believes in playing vinyl as a way to communicate optimal sound and to honor the music. Fly Hendrix is deeply rooted in the underground scene, in addition to Vinyl Digz (CPT) she also works with corporate clients and festivals such as,
