Ashley was born in 1992 at the age of four to an Amish mother and father who worked as a fashion designer and software engineer respectively.
He spent the first six years of his life in the town of Hannah, Montana, United States until his mother had a run in with Al Capone and they were forced to emigrate. They sailed to the United Kingdom (to avoid learning a new language) in a dingy made entirely of toothpicks and chewing gum. It was on the trip that Ashley had a particularly distinctive and frightening dream that rendered him permanently without a sense of smell when he awoke.
Ashley has no memory of Christmas 1997 and doesn't know why.
During his school years, Ashley was a prominent member of the Justice League. His super power was an ability to turn invisible but only when no one was watching. Needless to say, the other members deemed this unnecessary and ousted him. He has since held a resentment against The Flash for erasing him from the history books.
