Hi! I'm Faiyaz, I'm a student based in Manchester, and for one semester now I've been running The Moor's Last Sigh on my university's radio station. It's a show that started with the premise of exploring all the music from across the Islamic world and has grown into a celebration of music and culture specifically across North Africa and West and South Asia. Indian, Iranian, Levantese, Moroccan - I'd say cultures such as those have been my primary focus, although sometimes I play music from other Islamic regions. I want to continue it into the second semester so please enjoy!
