Dusk Dubs Sunday Mixtapes are personal, always incredible, journeys through sounds.
As always, our guest provides us with music that has a special place in their memories and in their souls.
Music that moves them, that invokes images of sunrises, sunsets, good times and good people.

It’s an honour and a distinct pleasure to be asked to compile another selection for Dusk Dubs (especially since now I’m part of the family). You can get the dl for the show via

Thanks Matthew, I will see if I can locate the digital.... I really like blues, and am drawn to a mixture of blues and jazz... I ran across music from Dans Dans... you k it of the? Liked the experimental feel of the work... any suggestions for me to dig in? Tyvm, Deb 😊

Hi Matthew, listened to this this morning. Tbh never really listened to much jazz until recently... so know none of the tracks. But gotta say, loved this especially starting from around 51 minutes, what was that track around 1 hour 4 minutes ? Thanks for sharing 👍❤️🎶🎧

Matthew Foord

Hey Deborah- thanks for taking the time to listen, particularly as Jazz may not be your thing. The track in question is Earth by Sarathy Korwar (taken from his superb album My West is your East). The original is by Joe Henderson from his equally magnificent album elements. Cheers for the support. Endless Smiles

Bless you, Matthew, for Christo Redentor.
Stopped me working and just stared balefully out of the window for several minutes.
Big grins.. mg

haha...yeah its a stunning piece of music isn't it? Starless and Bible Black is another record that evokes similar feelings in me. Glad you enjoyed the selection. Bless up :-)

I enjoyed this one! A lot of jazz was played in my home when I was a child and this awesome mix made me realize just how much I was overdue for a dive back into the genre. Thanks much!

Cheers Eric, glad that you enjoyed the selection and that it evoked such good memories. I love Jazz as a genre, and there's so much great stuff around at the moment. Check out Emantive and Sarathy Korwar, who are both firm favourites with me at the moment. Thanks as ever for the support, always warmly appreciated. Endless Smiles
