"A year ago this month, I first tried a hand at "old-school" hip-hop production, inspired by a personal production hero J Dilla. Since then, I've made small beats here and there as a distraction from school work, as playing organic music became increasingly difficult to find time for. A year later, I've decided to toss some of the tunes I've accumulated onto bandcamp for free dl as a very informal "beat tape". Some are fully fleshed-out instrumentals, others unfinished ideas I probably wouldn't have otherwise completed/released. Just a little something for the young bloods to bob heads to and the way-back-whens to reminisce to."
