Hailing originally from Germany and now based in Aotearoa, Espa has been moving dance floors since 2005. Inspired by early 90s rave culture, his curiosity quickly became devotion, shaped through formative years as a club resident alongside Till von Sein and Xenon. There, he refined his instinct for reading a room while sharing stages with artists such as Ada, Adam Port, and Oliver Koletzki.
Espa’s sets radiate cheeky understatement and unfiltered passion, balancing precision with playfulness. Each performance unfolds like a story — rhythmic, emotional, and always unpredictable. Drawing from the timeless groove of disco and the soul of house and techno, his sound moves fluidly from deep and emotional to uplifting late-night energy.
