Erick Nidal is a Palestinian DJ, music curator, born and raised in Chicago and based in NYC/Bangkok.
Inspired by his upbringing in Chicago and New York, he honors the tradition of harnessing deep, soulful music and dance as tools for building communal, spiritual, and ancestral connections.
Across genres, Erick Nidal’s sound sews a common thread through something which sets some music apart from others: Soul. He believes Soul is one of the most powerful forces on this Earth, capable of connecting us in a way that transcends any language, borders, class, or identity.
Erick has performed around the world and is currently a resident of Radio Alhara, where his show Soul Fortis | صوت الروح combines music, spoken word poetry, political education, and the natural world to trace the lineage sounds as a medium of human resistance.
