Emergency Oxygen is a solo electronic music project by French producer Paul Romelot. Born in Metz, a city at the doorstep of Luxembourg, Germany and Belgium, Paul moved in Tokyo in 2015.
His music stretches from ambient to electro through progressive house with a constant love for atmospheric pads, low-fi robotic sounds and textured synths.
After a first downtempo eponym EP released early 2019, Emergency Oxygen evolved into a more aggressive, club oriented sound and started hitting Tokyo’s underground scene in 2020.
It is deeply influenced by the 90s electronic music scene, with Air and Boards of Canada being the most obvious references on the lounge area, Underworld or Daft Punk on the main stage.
