First off I would like to tell you a little about myself and why I have a podcast called Laughing with Cancer. My name is Rick Ochoa but a lot of people know me as Elvisrico. I'm a father, a grandfather, an Elvis impersonator, and a cancer survivor. My cancer is not gone but I'm surviving with it. I was diagnosed with Leukemia on Valentines Day 2003 ( quite the "I love you gift" ). I was diagnosed with CLL (chronic lymphocytic leukemia) a slower progressing cancer, but progressing nonetheless. Ever since that day my life has been a roller coaster ride of emotion and confusion (from being positive, to thoughts of suicide). One of the things that has helped me is laughter and a podcast called Keith and the Girl.
It's been hard to stay positive and get back on track, and sometimes I find myself taking 2 steps forward and 1 step back, but I push forward and keep going. Laughter is one of the tools I use to help me get through the day. Peace Love and stay laughing
