Growing up on the streets of Cleveland, El Capitan learned early on that struggle is a way of life for many people. His family was forced into homelessness on several occasions and could barely make ends meet throughout his childhood. Until the age of 18, El Capitan focused on survival by whatever means necessary. Coming from a broken family life which offered no support in his efforts to get ahead, in conjunction with the very limited options for him at the time, he chose to leave Cleveland in pursuit of a better life. In August 2010, he decided to hit the music industry at full force and develop his natural talents as a Rap Artist. Within eight months, El Capitan established his own record label CAPPA Status Entertainment, LLC.
