ECHO CHAMBER is a podcast dealing with music’s power over emotions. Featuring interviews of experimental musicians and excerpts of their music, it explores the phenomenology of music through the lens of an experimental, free-improvised and empirical approach. A recurring theme is the link between music and grieving – how music, like departed loved ones, is only really present in memory.
I also developed a sound installation entitled ECHO ORGAN which attempted to recreate the echoic intimacy of the interview space and was chosen to feature in the Pianodrome’s “Resonancy” for the 2018 Edinburgh International Science Festival, Radiophrenia Glasgow, Videodrome 2’s Acousmodrome and Futura Festival in 2019.
I'm a guitarist, harpsichordist and composer active in the experimental music scene in Marseille, France. I'm part of the free improvisation ensemble Grand8 and have toured Europe and North America. I also translate texts for contemporary music publishers Maison ONA and Artchipel.
