I am a Music Producer, and my interests are Jazz, R&B, Funk, Rap, and Hip Hop. I started out playing piano at 9 years old in Detroit, MI and shortly thereafter began to like the Drums after seeing Ricky Lawson play drums at a rehearsal in 1975. Ricky was an inspiration for me, as well as many other young and old musicians in Detroit MI. Both of my uncles, Allan (The Blackbyrds) and Bobby Barnes were my biggest influences, even though they were both saxophone players. Uncle Bobby played with Donald Byrd, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker and others, and was instrumental in teaching me music theory. I started to gig as a professional Drummer around 16, and I would hang with older jazz musicians, and learn the ropes on how to play gigs, and more importantly how to conduct your music business. I’ve always loved music, and it has been very rewarding to me as a musician. I hope you will continue to support me and enjoy good music like I do.
