Since seeing 2001 at the cinema in 1971 aged 5, I've had a fascination with music, film and movement, which in 1989 manifested itself as compilations done for road trips where the movement was the passing countryside. My love of film was included in the form of quotes from favourite movie moments. I've done around 50 mixes since 1989, which fall into 'eras', the first being quite rough round the edges, until I got a cheap 3 channel tandy mixer in 1992, 1993 was an era of enlightenment in terms of sequencing flow and incorporation of themes. 1998 was the year I took the formula to the live stage as a DJ, 2002 heralded new technology and non linear methods and it is the mixes from around this era (including one of the DJ sets from 1998 that I'd like to share with anyone who is remotely interested.
