With a career spanning 10 years, Kuroten, a South African DJ and producer, is a rising star in the Asian underground scene. His productions are emotive and bold, yet nuanced, while at their core is a deep passion for storytelling through sound. With releases on labels like Neverest and Lemon Juice as well as upcoming releases on Soul De Anima, Subtech and Ambious, he is making his mark.

Drawing on that same ethos, Kuroten’s sets push boundaries and constantly challenge his listeners. Through his love for unrelenting grooves, synthesis and melodies, he has managed to carve out a unique musical voice, which can be described as hypnotic, crisp, emotional and powerful.

Having been a part of South East Asia’s underground scene for some time now, both as a DJ/producer and as a promoter, he has supported and played with the likes of Robbie Akbal (Sol Selectas / Akbal Music), Rampa (Keinemusik) and Miguel Bastida (Be One) to name just a few.
