D-Wrex grew up in the small town of Kent City, MI. After being asked to fill in for a Karaoke host at the age of 22, he fell in love with making people dance and quickly learned that listening to people sing wasn't his cup of tea. After purchasing a mixdeck and learning the basics from a local DJ, he seeked to do bigger and better things behind the decks. Listening to DJ Grooves on the radio via "The Beatdown on 104.5 WSNX" was his biggest inspiration to mixing. His yearn for stage life came from watching Datsik perform at the Intersection in 2014. With hard work and dedication, he set off for greatness, working hard to achieve the goals he had set for himself. Starting at small home town biker bars and hole in the wall venues, he has since mixed on multiple radio stations and is becoming a well known artist in Michigan. With help from his mentor DJ Monica Parker (Grand Rapids DJ of the year 2015) he has since worked his way up to being one of the most known local DJ's in Grand Rapids
