Stemming from a more symphonic third grade beginning, Devin Butcher (DJDevButcher) immersed himself in the resonating sounds of strings and musical culture. The vast dynamics and stark contrasts, tempo, color, and velocity drove Dev to naturally find a deep passion for Trance music by way of Rank 1's Airwave, in 1997. Over time and cycles of adapting music always pushing towards a new uncharted era, Devin's taste found the finer nuisances of each evolving genre from house, to breaks, techno, and even eventually dubstep, slowly carving away at his mind's idea of the ideal sound. Ultimately, it is in the mechanics of how to truly coax another individual into letting loose and expressing their emotion on the dance floor, that fuels Dev Butcher's fire for performing dance music. The sole purpose has always been to support his focal passion..making people dance. It is in all the minute details of the craft that his life is given definition...that definition is known as DevButcher.
