Durt is a Canadian party and house DJ/producer hailing from Red Deer, Alberta. His style is continually evolving and reworking itself, but he tries to keep it fun, thoughtful and positive, with themes and elements of dreams, art, philosophy, symbolism, humour/irony, peace, humanity, and nature. His live sets tend to emphasize pure fun and funk, while his mixes and scores often go much deeper and lean towards progressive, having time to think through and evolve the ideas, using an intuitive and often day-dreaming induced state of mind to capture the essence and feeling of the moment, rather than being boxed into the logic of blending tracks and natural progression of the live mix. The backbone of his sets usually centre around house, funk, techno and electro, blending in what the crowd is feeling or responding to best.
