Known for his enthusiasm and exceptional track selection, Deepgroove’s style of play shows off his ability to merge elements from all forms of house, tech, deep, bad-ass bass, devastating drums and solid slabs of funk. His long-standing presence and prevalence on the scene testifies to his passion for and devotion to all things dance.
When the acid house sound touched down in South Africa in the early 90s, Deepgroove was there. He had his first taste of house on the dancefloors of pioneering clubs such as Idols and ESP and it wasn’t long before the metronomic thud and inimitable energy of acid house gripped his soul completely.
