Doobie McDonald has collaborated with such musicians as E. Jones and 9th Wonder on "Peek-a-Boo (I See You)", Wishing To Float with "Santa Claus is Here", and has is in talks with Tony Clifton about a duet.

He was first introduced to Whittier, CA, at their August 11, 2009 City Council Meeting, serenading the at-home-viewers, live on CityTV6. Since then, he's created many videos and songs (one of which "Conan, My Cars Need to Explode", was sent to O'Brien himself), performed in both the Pasadena Doo Dah and Whittier Christmas parades with The EMR, started a petition to change the name of California to "Party Aminal," and plays frequently throughout Long Beach, Whittier, Huntington Beach, La Puente, North Hollywood, Phoenix and other places.

DMcD's 2011 book "Ye Ole Fiendly Towne and Other Whittier Zombie Haikus" features secret codes, colouring pages, geo cache locations, haikus about familiar places/people/etc in Whittier, foreign languages and many more surprises.
