DongXiNanPei is a non-profit community based radio program. The radio program is produced and hosted by the volunteer worker Yilin Lee-Setälä. The production is funding by Yilin herself in collaboration with civic education organizations. The one-hour program broadcasts through 3 Finnish local radio stations Helsinki lähiradio100.3MHz, Turku Radio Robin Hood 91,4MHz, Tampere Radio Moreeni 98,4MHz and Tampere University internet radio radio.uta.fi. In mandarin Chinese, Dong means EAST, Xi WEST, Nan SOUTH, Pei NORTH. Through our dialogues with immigrants, students, workers from Chinese cultural background and many Finnish & Nordic friends, we wish to bring the perspectives of ‘we there’, ‘they here’, ‘we all here’ and ‘we all here and there’.
