Dom Mandrell has been working in and around the live music industry for over 20 years working variously as a DJ, promoter and graphic designer.
He has worked with everyone from DJs Stuart Patterson, Phil Asher and David Rodigan, promoted gigs for Faze Action and done global merchandise for the Stone Roses and legendary DJ Greg Wilson. Needless to say – he knows his music.
Over the years he has played his signature blend of house disco, afro and funk in venues as diverse as Ministry of Sound, Trapeze and 90 Bar and Kitchen
Dom is also founder of Soul Picnic which started life as a small stand-alone festival of 5000 people in Lloyd park and embedded within the Barbican run Walthamstow Garden Party attracted over 35,000 people over one weekend in July. Dom managed this space through its
various incarnations over 6 years and it became an annual staple of the festival.
