David Williams began playing guitar and writing songs at 10 years of age. He studied classical guitar for almost ten years after studying at Indiana University. He started his first band was when he was only 13 year old. By age 17 he was playing in bars around Northern Indiana and Chicago, Illinois. He has played in numerous musical ensembles from Latin, Jazz, Country, Heavy Metal, and Blues bands to eventually playing in a popular area rock band called Tulpa in Bowling Green, Kentucky before moving to Nashville, Tennessee to record with Dale Russell, former member of the Guess Who, as well as many other well known country songwriters/artists. He has played at many places around Nashville such as the Bluebird Cafe, the French Quarter, 12th and Porter, Exit/In, etc. David now heads DMTA Studios and lives and works in Beijing, China as a music producer and video game developer.
