Way back in the late 80's, alongside Chris Goss (Hospital Records) and Eric Speak (Dig! Leeds) under the DJ name Billy Whizz he founded the Funky Wah Wah Family with their regular club sessions and radio shows on PCR - Bradford and Melodius Funk nights in Manchester (with Brother Naz and hip hop artist Tom Dice).
