Richard Foster aka"Zarf" Hails from Hilo, Hi Hawaii with Roots from Chicago Il. .Richard is a pioneer and visionary to music. As a child, from the southside of Chicago the home of House Music, Jazz and Blues. Richard "Zarf" began to fine tune his ears for what would later become the skills as a DJ and embrace the sounds that would move many dance floors to come.
Being a fan of all musical genres Richard "Zarf" was never afraid to experiment with new music.
In the early 80s as a young adult Richard began meeting and mingling with the Legendary House founders of the early 80s .Going to loft ,wharehouse and basement parties where he became friends with upcoming djs Farley, Jamie Principle, Joe Smooth, Frankie Knuckles and Ralphie Rashario to name a few.
Richard also being a fan and a fixture of the Chicago post punk and New Wave underground musuc scene and incorperated the fresh sounds of DOR dance oriented rock into his dj sets.
