DJ Stylus made his first steps as a DJ at the age of 15, influenced by his father, Frank Markus, who had been a musician from the age of 12. Stylus started mixing in 1998, using DJ software, falling in love with the art of mixing and German hard style music. He was still not happy and wanted to learn the art of turntablism, after which he signed up for a course at Technics DJ Mix Club. He passed with a platinum certificate in just under two weeks.
Because of his amazing technical turntable skills and incredible music selection, many huge gig opportunities started flying in. Soon Stylus was packing the dance floor every time he played, building a big fan base.Stylus has had to move with time and technology and now plays on CDJ's. He has played in many night clubs around South Africa and at many big events, with attendances of up to 10,000 people and more, also touring the Eastern Cape and hosting his own events, such as HEAT Dance Parties.
