DJ Slim Tim grew up in Luton, England. He was introduced to electronic music at an early age and vividly remembers listening to a compilation mix that was of the speed garage and drum and bass genre. The rhythmic bass and amazing drum samples were so extreme in their nature he fell in love with the music immediately. As he progressed through his musical journey, he learned how to play the bass guitar which taught him the art of music theory.

He exposed himself to various electronic genres and events. After listening to DJ’s such as Pete Tong, Judge Jules, Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto, Ferry Corsten and many more, he listened to how they would create unique musical transitions with vinyl records, and was mystified at how they were able to hear two different tracks at different speeds and align them to perfection. He knew this was what he wanted to do ever since.
