DJ Sista Whitenoise started her career in 1992 as an on- air personality for KAAM radio in Dallas, TX. She has since worked at clubs, charity galas, produced music for fashion runway events and hosted shows on both public radio and the internet. Her musical tastes are all over the map and her breadth of musical knowledge allows her to fit into just about any event.

Personal favorites lean toward genres with solid funky beats including Afro-Cuban Jazz, Big Beat, Old School Funk, R&B and Afrobeat with a special affinity for Old School and Underground Hip-Hop. Juke, Indie and straight up Roots, Garage, and Psychedelic Rock also feature prominently in her sets. Throw in a funky horn section, a Hammond B3, a pedal or lap steel guitar or a combination of the aforementioned and it's likely to be found in her collection.
