At a very young age, Shamz broke through the bedroom DJ barrier and started to build a strong knowledge and understanding of the DJ craft.

Shamz's father, George Andrew, also a professional DJ, was an inspiration and mentor throughout the early days of Shamz' career. In Shamz' high school years, while his friends were out partying, he was at home searching through George's crates, learning the tricks of the DJ trade and accompanying him to events.

For the past 17 years Shamz has made his way around the downtown Toronto club, special event and wedding scene working everywhere from Foundation Room, Mod Club, The Drake Hotel and the CN Tower's Horizons. He’s also rubbed elbows with many celebrities while spinning for the Toronto Raptors, Virgin Mobile's V-Fest After-party, Universal Music, The Toronto International Film Festival and Live-to-air's on Flow 93.5 !

Shamz has fully realized his goals and career in front of the dance floors and behind the turntables.
