Starting as a DJ doing mobile work with a local company in 1999, Ryan J learned the tricks of the mobile trade from the young age of 17. At 19, he gained is first club residency, but never lost touch with his mobile roots, even doing over 100 mobile events in one year in 2006. Over the years, he has held residencies in numerous clubs and bars around Calgary and area, including The Capital, Heavens, Escape, My Apartment, Ranchman's, St. James Corner, Melrose Bar & Grill, and Standard Tap Public House, a guest spot or two in some European clubs during a year abroad, and a notable spot live-to-air on Energy 101.5 FM from The Whiskey. The wide variety of music and styles at these locations, as well as the over 16 years of experience, has made Ryan J one of the most adaptable and versatile DJ's in the greater Calgary area.
