DJ Rico Sanchez, better known as "The Politician" earned the nickname by convincing complete strangers that dancing with other strangers was a perfectly reasonable use of civilization.
An international DJ, producer, and reluctant curator of culture, Rico has spent years traveling the world in search of great music, questionable life decisions, and proof that strangers become friends faster when nobody's checking the time. The airports are simply the price of admission.
An open-format DJ with a suspicious amount of music trivia occupying valuable brain space, Rico has performed at nightclubs, luxury resorts, festivals, and celebrity events alongside Sean Paul, Fat Joe, Davido, Don Omar, Pitbull, Tego Calderon, Major Lazer, 2 Chainz, DJ Khaled, Notch, Shaggy, Marc Anthony, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Elvis Crespo, and Julio Voltio.
