Richard Schmidt A.K.A "DJ Ricky Boy", born in Chicago in 1981, it's only fitting that I share my birthday with "HOUSE MUSIC" which was born also born in Chicago. When I started spinning Chicago Hard House music ruled the scene and I loved it. I rocked house parties all throughout H.S with the occasional guest spot at various 17+ clubs. Around the time a finished H.S. I was turned on to a more soulful deeper style of house. I continued mixing throughout collage. After collage, 2003, I started my 9 to 5 and Djing took a back seat to my career. I had given up my passion for a 9 to 5, I put away the TECH 1200's away for about 4 years. In early 2008 I was at a club where my friend was mixing he let me on the decks for an hour or so and "BAM" It hit me I realized how much I missed DJING. That next week I went and took out my turntables from storage bought serato and I have'nt looked back. Now I'm a DJ "DJ RICKY BOY", it's what I love and was always supposed to be... I ROCK THE HOUSE!!!
