DJ Putemup (The First Responder) is a self-promoted veteran of club music for nearly two decades, sharing the stage with such noted performers as the late Johnny Kempt, Octavia, Jeff Redd, Whodini, Cameo, Blue Magic and others.

Born in the South East section of the Bronx New York City, (the home of American Hip Hop), DJ Putemup gained a reputation for himself via house parties, parades, festivals and other street events before hitting the club circuit. He was the house event DJ for the Marr & Teri Lounge as well as the house DJ for the popular Sweetwater’s Lounge, OZE Tavern and the K Lounge in the Bronx. DJ Putemup was the Throwback (old school) DJ for 98.7 kiss FM’s Concert at the Paradise Theater.
