Phat aka Vassilis Skandalis always brings the party. Growing up as a key member in his local hip hop and battle scratch DJ scene and now working as the Art Director of Mixmag, the young Greek has spent his life immersed in music. He brings the kaleidoscopic range of a lifetime spent digging through everything from sample-based hip hop to futuristic jazz to craft panoramic sets that consistently thrill with their unpredictability. A passionate selector, he never misses a chance to play from dark bars and rooftops to clubs and after parties. "When I felt I had the ability to shift the energy and mood and connect with the crowd I realised that this instant form of creation is the perfect thing for me,” he says. And as a DJ equally adept at mixing styles spanning lo-fi house and experimental bass, Phat’s turntable mastery enables him to delight any dancefloor.
