DJ Mike Torres born in Brooklyn. Raised on rhythm.​A native New Yorker with Puerto Rican roots, Mike grew up on a soundtrack of Salsa, Disco, Motown, and Funk. As the son of a Latin percussionist, he learned the drum before he could walk. By his teens, he was digging into Rock, Reggae, Hip-Hop, House, Freestyle, and Caribbean Vibes.​Hooked by the Saturday Night Dance Party on 92.3 KTU with Glenn Friscia & Roman Ricardo and 98.7 Kiss FM with DJ Red Alert, he started recording his own mixtapes. His first decks in '89 were Gemini XL-BD10s. Inspired by his idol DJ AM, he went open-format and never looked back.​37+ years later, Mike has rocked private events, bars clubs, and concerts across NYC, Florida, and Puerto Rico. From vinyl to Serato, he still brings that same Brooklyn energy. He currently runs his own independent mobile company, is a partner for SOS Event Group, and is a member of Senate DJs (Blue Tie).
