Maxxy Jay, coming from a strong musical background of playing drums as a former session musican specialising in funk, soul and RnB. This is absolutely no coincidence.

Maxxy Jay states that Funk saved his life literally, when his music teacher noticed flair for music he opened up the music room for him to keep him away from the bad elements and between he and his teacher, Maxxy Jay discovered the sounds of George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, George Duke and Bernie Worrel.

Through this love of funk, Maxxy went down a musical rabbit hole which immersed him in Soul, Blues, Be-Bop, Jazz as well as psychedelic Rock, Maxi Jay refers to himself as the hectic eclectic.
