Marko became interested in music and dance music in particular at a young age. As an early teenager he quickly found employment at several of the local discotheques in his home town Renesse. By the time he was 17 he was one of the first dutch DJ's to be invited to play abroad, securing a residency in what was then the world largest open air nightclub Kù in San Rafael Ibiza because of his signature rapid mixing and diverse selection of genres which fit the 10'000 head audience of the club like a glove. Besides residencies in Soho club London, Café d'Anvers in Antwerpen, iT Amsterdam, Boccaccio Life International in Gent and Emporium Rimini/Riccione. DJ Marko always kept playing at least a few nights a week in his "second home" Discotheque Trinity in Renesse were he used to live above the club. He was a welcome guest in clubs like Rave Club, Haçienda, Tunnel, Le Queen, Tresor, Nighttown, Club Expo, Carrera, Radio FG, Planet, RoXY, Palladium, La Rocca, Cream, La Scala, Change and Amnesia.
