For the Love of Music

My earliest memories aren't of television—they're of music. Growing up in an alternative home in the countryside of Mid Wales, the hi fi and speakers were a thing of beauty. Parents parties there was always dancing.

Around Aberystwyth I progressed from organising the school discos to the free-party scene before moving to Esher at sixteen, where London's pirate radio stations opened my ears to house, hip hop, jungle and soulful grooves. Trips to Cream in Liverpool watching LTJ Bukem, DJ Sneak and Pete Tong only fuelled the obsession.

I've promoted multi-genre nights over the years but consider myself more of a selector than a DJ. I'm a lifelong enthusiast, inspired by artists like Man Ezec, Fat Freddy's Drop, Bonobo, DJ Solid, Nightmares on Wax, Chris Coco, DJ Jazzy Jeff, The Nextmen and more recently DJ Nav.

These mixes are to share maybe something a bit different, connect and inspire.
